Partners Wealth Group announces the launch of Anseres Capital

Partners Wealth Group launches Anseres Capital to capture surging demand for private markets

MEDIA RELEASE

April 2026

Partners Wealth Group (PWG) has announced the launch of Anseres Capital, a unified investment platform bringing together its public and private markets capabilities under a single institutional-grade offering as demand for alternative investments accelerates amid heightened market volatility.

The new platform, which replaces PWG’s former private markets business Partners Private, represents a significant evolution of the firm’s investment capability, combining both public and private market opportunities into a cohesive investment management business designed to meet the increasingly complex needs of sophisticated investors.

Anseres Capital will be chaired by Brett Cairns, former CEO of Magellan Financial Group. He will be joined by Non-Executive Director Jason Coggins, previously Head of Research at Koda Capital. The appointments bring deep institutional experience and governance oversight to the platform.

The launch of Anseres Capital comes at a time of sharp market movements in early 2026, reinforcing the importance of diversification and disciplined, long-term portfolio construction. Since inception in 2012, under its previous structure, the platform has raised more than $900 million across 45-plus investments, establishing a strong track record in sourcing, structuring and managing differentiated opportunities for clients.

PWG Managing Director Mathew Cassidy, recently ranked the number one financial adviser in Australia by Barron's, said the launch reflects a structural shift in how wealth is managed and the growing role of private markets in client portfolios.

“Anseres Capital is the natural evolution of our investment capability over more than two decades,” Mr Cassidy said.

“It brings together our public and private market expertise into one cohesive platform, designed to deliver institutional-quality opportunities within a client-first advice model. As markets become more complex, private markets are playing an increasingly important role in portfolios, but our message to clients remains unchanged - stay focused on fundamentals, including long-term strategy, time horizon and disciplined decision-making.”

Mr Cairns said the platform combines specialist agility with institutional standards at a time when investors are seeking both access and governance.

“Anseres Capital is designed to provide clients with access to high-quality opportunities across both private and public markets, supported by strong governance frameworks and independent oversight,” Mr Cairns said. “I am delighted be appointed as Chair of Anseres Capital and oversee the significant role I believe the platform will play.”

The platform has been built with a clear separation between financial advice and investment decision-making, aligning with global best practice and increasing regulatory expectations across the wealth management sector.

The launch coincides with a period of significant growth for Partners Wealth Group, which has expanded rapidly over the past six months through a combination of acquisitions and strategic partnerships, increasing funds under management to more than $5.8 billion while growing its national footprint across Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

The firm now employs more than 160 staff and works in collaboration with over 300 accounting firms, delivering integrated services across financial advice, investments, superannuation, lending and legal solutions.

While Anseres Capital is positioned as a central investment engine supporting PWG’s broader advisory model, it also reflects a broader shift in client priorities, with increasing complexity in superannuation and regulatory settings, tighter lending conditions for trusts and company structures, and rising demand for more sophisticated approaches to intergenerational wealth, tax efficiency and capital structuring.
